Qi Wang is a lecturer of Chinese at San Jose State University.
Before joining SJSU in 2022, she taught at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies,
and she was an instructor, team leader, and immersion specialist at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey
responsible for the design and delivery of an intensive language curriculum.
Her team received two Provost Team Excellence Awards for teaching excellence.
Qi Wang is also actively engaged in service to the field of language
teaching and research. She was the secretary, treasurer, and board member for the Chinese Language Teachers Association of California (CLTAC) from 2011 to 2014.
She was responsible for organizing annual Mandarin Speech Contests and academic conferences for the community of Chinese language teachers in California.
Since 2020, Qi Wang has served as the finance officer for Trinnovation Space, an organization aiming at designing and providing content-based Chinese curriculum for K-12 students,
and is responsible for curriculum design, accounting, and operations.
Qi’s research focuses on second language acquisition, teacher education, and Chinese literature.
She received Ed. D in Learning and Instruction from the University of San Francisco, MA in Asian Studies from California State University, Long Beach,
and BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Normal University. She received ACTFL OPI training at Stanford University in 2018.
王麒是圣荷西州立大学(SJSU)的中文讲师。在2022年加入SJSU之前,她曾在蒙特雷国际研究院任教,并曾担任过蒙特雷国防语言学院的教师、组长和语言沉浸专员,

自2020年以来,王麒担任三元创新(Trinnovation Space)的财务和理事会成员,该组织旨在为K-12学生设计和提供基于内容的中文课程。
王麒的研究聚焦于第二语言习得、教师教育和中国文学。她获得了旧金山大学的教学博士学位、加州州立大学长滩分校的亚洲研究硕士学位以及北京师范大学的汉语言文学学士学位。
她在2018年接受了在斯坦福大学的ACTFL OPI培训。
